Change Your Mood – Change Your Life. Yes, this mantra belongs on a cup or even a T-shirt. It sounds cheesy, but is 100% true. If you want to feel great within, you must generate that feeling for yourself. We are the energy creators, shapeshifters and mood makers. It’s up to us to make it happen! It’s not meant to be a chore, but an empowering gift you give to yourself and those you love.
We have all heard or even said things like: “Don’t cry over spilt milk”, “there are plenty of fish in the sea” and “don’t sweat the small stuff”. And while all of this is true, you still want to jab the person in the eye. (Too harsh?) You understand, right? Life can feel really hard. So how do you get yourself out of a bad mood and change your life?
I have had many a bad mood. I have experienced heartache when relationships have broken down. I have navigated heartbreak when my marriage started to break down. I, like you, laid awake at night staring at the ceiling wondering how to pay the bills and, as with spilt milk, you want to cry!
However, if you have read any Law of Attraction books or blogs, you probably also know that “what you feel is what you attract”. If you are worked up, in a crappy bad mood or things are feeling hard then, guess what, you attract more of that.
One of the best examples in my life was when I woke up feeling groggy, tired and not with the happiest of hearts. My middle daughter would wake up equally crabby, if not worse. It was like she had some kind of super-powered antennae that picked up when I was in a bad mood – anndd she would match it. Gotta love the Law Of Attraction!
Being stuck in this “bad mood” cycle (which FYI I was in for ages) makes everything feel hard. Making clear decisions at work is hard, communicating with your partner is hard and mothering feels like an Olympic sport.
